Devoted son-in-law of Alyce and Joseph Brehony and brother-in-law of James (Terry), Lisa, Anne (Tom), and Carolyn (Bruce). MARGARET S. FILANTE, February 21, 2010, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late William J Filante. Dear mother of David (Jennifer), Steve (Virginia) and Janet (Robert). Loving grandmother of Pam Markee, David Filante, Elizabeth Sanders and Paul Sanders. Great grandmother of three. Also survived by two sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. A memorial celebration will be held at Cathedral Village.
FRANCES A. FLAA, age 79, of St. Mary Manor, Lansdale, died on May 10, 2010. Born and raised in South Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Santo and Frances Tiano Garofalo. Her husband, Kenneth Flaa, Sr., died in October 2001. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Flaa was a longtime member of Stella Maris Catholic Church in South Philadelphia. Surviving is her son Kenneth Flaa of Mullica Hill, N.J., and her daughter Barbara Person and her husband, Robert, of Warrington; gandchildren Christina, Corrine, Amy, Amanda, Andrew, Anna, Jonathan and Toni, six great grandchildren, and her sister Nancy Dire and her husband, Gene, of Philadelphia. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Friday, May 14th at 11 a.m. at the Chapel at St. Mary Manor, 701 Lansdale Avenue, Lansdale, where the family will receive friends Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
JEANNETTE M. FORTINO, (nee Davis), age 88, of East Falls, on July 28, 2009. Wife of the late Ernest P., mother of Janice Rowe (David), grandmother of Domenica, Libby, Benjamin and Peter. After graduating from Germantown High School, class of 1938, Jeannette was a secretary with the Army Corps of Engineers in Philadelphia through World War II, and then worked part time for Augsburg Fortress. She was a long time soloist at Trinity Lutheran Church, Germantown, and Holy Trinity-Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, Logan; a member of the Mendelssohn Club and Singing City, and for many years piano accompanist for Dr. Robert Grooters, Temple Univversity School of Music. Jeannette was an active member of NARFE. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service at the Memorial Church of the Good Shepherd, 3829 The Oak Road, Philadelphia, PA 19129 on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jeanette's memory may be made to the Memorial Church of the Good Shepherd or the Montgomery County SPCA, Box 222, Conshohocken, PA 19428.

JOSEPH F. GIMARO, SR, age 75, of Gwynedd, died February 18, 2010, at his residence. He had been in failing health for many years. Mr. Gimaro has lived in Gwynedd since 1967 and had previously lived in Warminster. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Tropiano Gimaro. Mr. Gimaro graduated from Lincoln High School, class of 1952 and the University of Pennsylvania, class of 1956. He had worked in the Trust Department at First Pennsylvania Bank and in insurance sales. He owned and operated the Comfort Inn on Route 309, in Montgomeryville and also Gimaro's Seafood and Steak House located next to the Comfort Inn. Mr. Gimaro retired in 2007. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lansdale. Surviving is his beloved wife of 50 years, Geraldine Fields Gimaro; sons, Joseph F. Gimaro, Jr., of Center Valley and Christopher A. Gimaro and his wife, Lisa, of Hatfield; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Marlene Mascaro and her husband, John, of Warmisnter and Grace Bauer and her husband, Herb, of Newtown. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. at the Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, and to attend his Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church. Interment private in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. KATHERINE M. GRYCTKO, age 83, of Lansdale died January 14, 2010, at Abington Health Lansdale Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Anne Daily Hauck. Mrs.Gryctko was a member of the Class of 1944 from Little Flower High School and was a member of the Class of 1947 from the School of Nursing from Saint Mary's Hospital. She had worked as a registered nurse at a number of area hospitals and most recently at Saint Mary Manor and Elm Terrace in Lansdale. Her husband, Leonard Gryctko, died in January 2004. Mrs. Grytcko was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lansdale. She enjoyed reading but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Survivng is her daughter Cindy Budka and her husband, Joe, of Hatfield and her grandchildren, Jenny and Jocy Budka, and her sister, Elaine Cormican, of Holland. she was preceded in death by her daughter Bernadette Gryctko in 2006. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, January 19th from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. at the Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, Lansdale, and to attend her funeral Mass at St. Stanislaus Church, Lansdale, at 10 a.m. Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery.
