The Howe family had a high regard of education for all their children. "Pop" Howe was a professor of economics at LaSalle College as well as running his own accounting firm. Our mother was proud to know her granddaughter, Colleen Stover, carries on that tradition by attending LaSalle. She outlived all of her siblings except he sisters Dorothy Morgan and Gertrude Zagiba. She graduated from Villa Maria Academy in 1944 and Immaculata College in 1948. She was employed as a dietitian at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital for several years before her marriage. She worked as a dietitian at North Penn Hospital and later worked at Clemens Market in Lansdale. She was volunteer at St. Stanislaus Parish and Lansdale Catholic High School. When her oldest daughter, Mary, graduated from high school in 1971 she let our father know that not only her three sons were going to college but all four of her daughters would go to college as well. All seven of us went to five different colleges and we made our own way in different professions and vocations. While she was proud of all of us, she enjoyed the fact that he daughters also graduated from Immaculata and she was proud that the Immaculata connection continued with her grandaughter Bridget Stover's graduation in 2008. Our family vacations included visits to the shore and numerous stays at our cabin in the Poconos. In 1970, the family traveled to Florida. In 1971, the family traveled west to California. In 1974, our parents decided it was time to travel on their own and began with a cruise to Bermuda. Our mother later encouraged our father to travel extensively and they visited Ireland, went twice to Europe, Hawaii, as well as spring training in Florida. In 2001 our mother traveled on an Alaskan cruise with family members. In addition to her seven children, she had 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She enjoyed the love of family, faith and friends including her friends at St. Mary Manor. She is missed clearly by all who knew and loved her and is survived by her children, Mary O'Hara of Clifton Heights; Robert O'Hara and his wife, Christine, of Perkasie; Maureen Stover and her husband, Jeff, of Harleysville; Henry J.
